Path showing below icon

Am running Mint-MATE,18.1,64b, up to date. All of a sudden, the path to the app is showing
on most, but not all of the desktop icons. It seems like the icons to apps that are "stored elsewhere" do not have the path shown, and the folders associated with the desktop do. I've checked File Management Preferences, and nothing has changed since my original setup. How can I remove the path info? Thanks a lot for any assistance.

Open the File Browser (Caja).

Edit->Preferences->Display: change the first drop down (which will probably read "Location") to "None".

Close.

Log out and log in again.

Resolved -Path showing below icon

That did it. Thank you. I don't know how I missed it when I went through Caja preferences -prior to my posting. Thanks again.
