Most X related stuff now uses glamoregl based acceleration for 2D drawing and basic rendering. This stems from xorg-server now utilizing the libepoxy egl drawing and pointer handling library. The card you have does require the non-free AMD firmware to operate. You can get the card up and running under the xf86-video-modesetting driver without any issues, but if you want to use the xf86-video-ati driver you will need the firmware as the rendering will try to use glamor accelerated video rather than exa accelerated video.
The FSF is nice and a goal, but honestly, it's very shortsighted and is more of a hindrance rather than a helper. It would be nice if all firmware could be free, all drivers, and all software could be free too, but the world isn't perfect, and neither is GNU/Linux.
CPUs, video cards, sound cards, network cards, etc. all now require firmware at some level either from the kernel open source firmware, or the non-free kernel firmware packages.

Thank you for your answer.
I gave up gaming and 3D acceleration in order to be free. I don't have a good 3D acceleration now on pure Debian and I don't expect to have it wit this hardware anytime soon. In fact, that's why I'm selling my PC, so that I can buy a FSF-friendly laptop to do programming (I took my first lesson today, Stanford University). I'm only learning to program because of Richard Stallman He gave me the motivation (in a non-direct manner). I hope I can make a good use of my skills to make GPL'ed software such as Free-bios, Free mobile apps (even though I don't like the ideia of Android/WindowsPhone/iOS), Free firmware, to improve Free drivers, etc.
While this doesn't happen, do you think my card will get support soon?

Stallman has some sound ideas, but honestly, don't just follow all his ideas. Draw from his ideas and create you own path your way.
Yes, a FSF friendly PC/Laptop is going to be nice, but likewise it may have issues as well and not all laptops are 100 FSF friendly. The best I've seen personally since all the new hardware came out recnely are those with Intel CPUs and GPUs, Realtek HD Audio and Ethernet and Atheros Wifi. Those are few in model any more as most laptop vendors are using more AMD and Broadcom hardware, with those of Intel based with Nvidia and broadcom hardware.
The FSF is a set of idealistic guidelines, not a Bible.
You technically haven't freed yourself either. Freeing one's self in GNU/Linux is choosing what you want, avoiding narrowed guidelines, and being open to all ideas, not just a small portion. By all technicality, you've more or less enslaved yourself to the FSF.
However, I do wish you luck with your venture, but honestly, I do not see support coming any time too soon for anything that has non-free firmware. The way things are going currently, more and more hardware is going to require firmware. Only a few small groups don't currently, but that is likely to change.

Amarildo, you know that you can downgrade your Xorg, right?
also, i might be wrong, but i think you can force any version of Xorg to use the fallback video driver (vesa), which should also result in a working system.

Vesa was replaced with the modesetting driver. The xf86-video-vesa driver started to have too many problems. The xorg-server package now contains xf86-video-modesetting as part of the package as the default vesa driver.

That's what I'm doing, actually.

Yes, it's not easy to find a laptop 100% compatible with FSF, but it's worth the try and the money IMO.

I agree. I'm atheist and I don't follow anything that is on the Bible. But when it comes to Free Software I agree with pretty much everything Stallman has ever said. However, I don't see him as a "god" or anything alike; at most I see him as a person who has inspired me to be who I really am.

Not quite. Being enslaved is being dependant on proprietary software and being self-conformed that "that's the way things are man", not trying to be free from it. In this point in time, I either have to chose between convenience and freedom.

Yes, I did so in Arch in the past. I'll look into this today.

We could have a good debate on licensing sometime Amarildo.
And I wasn't referencing the Bible or any holy book or sacred text in reference respectfully. More like, don't turn the FSF guidelines into a sacred text to where the FSF becomes religious in nature. Personally, I'm not religious myself, I'm actually Modern/Neo-Gnostic, but that's another topic, but a good deabte in itself too. PM me sometime on that. ;-)

Just an update.
Today I installed Parabola Linux and the package 'xf86-video-vesa' and it worked as expected. Now I can use that system again.

Removing LIB_GL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT from the environment variable did the trick.
