KDE What Folder Stores the KDE Address files?

Installed the New KDE a few months ago and wanting to migrate to it since the old one no longer has updates. Looking for the file that stores all the Address Book files and can I just copy that folder and move it to the new KDE?

Maybe what I should be asking, What is the best resource for information on Migrating from an older KDE to the Newest KDE? Addressbook, Bookmarks, and all the other things you never think of when you transfer or migrate.

Moving from kde 4.x to kde 5.x(Plasma) will probably be a little tricky because the location of the kde configuration files are different in kde5. If you're using PCLOS, I don't think there is an upgrade from the kde4 version to the kde5 version. IIRC you have to do a clean install.

For kaddressbook, the easiest way, assuming you still have your kde4 version is to do an export to a single vCard 3.0 file there and then import that vcf file in in kaddressbook in your new kde5 install. In kaddressbook go to File>Export>Export v.Card 3.0. In the popup window that comes up select "All contacts". A new popup window will come up called "Select vCard Fields"; tick the "OK" button as the default selections are fine. A new popup window will come up; select the "Export to One File" button. Save the adressbook.vcf file to the desired location; make sure the location is one that you will have access to when you do your fresh kde5 installation.

Thanks that did the easy way. I do run PC linux and yes a few months ago I had to do a fresh install but dreaded the migration. Today was the day so working on getting it working like my old PC Linux worked. I did have easy access to my folders on other partitions so that was not a problem. Consider this problem solved
