How to load saved nVidia configuration settings

The nvidia X server setting tool has an option (at the bottom of the application window) to save your configuration. I'm trying to find the option to load a saved configuration. I have various settings I wish to test, but would like to be able to easily bring it back to a fairly working configuration if something breaks.

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

I'm running Ubuntu 1104, Unity (GeForce GTX 260) nVidia Driver version 270.41.06 Linux-x86_64.

nvidia-settings --load-config-only

Other than that, you should take a look at the documentation (which should be) in /usr/share/doc/nvidia/README (search for "X Config Options"). There are tons of things you can configure in the Xorg config file directly (/etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf), many of which aren't available in the nvidia-settings GUI.
