gnome not showing icons

Hey guys,

Im having an issue, where I create launchers & copy files to my /home/majeztik/Desktop folder but they dont appear on my actual desktop.

Just standard home, computer & trash icons appear.

Any ideas on this one? possibly a permission issue?

Iv tried searching but its hard to search for this type of thing in one string.

Try to create a new profile and see if you still have the same problem. If the new profile works, you can then move any saved files to the new profile and change the owner to the new profile.
