tray icons showing on desktop instead of tray

Hi,

Using ubuntu 6.06 w/gnome and my tray icons are all over the desktop instead of task bar.

Why? How do I correct this?

Have the same problem, nut only with amule... really weird...

Is it possible that you accidentaly removed the notification area applet?

Right click at the top panel -> click Add to Panel... -> select Notification Area -> click Add.

Requires X server reboot clt alt backspace.
