Encrypted pdf with Evince

I noticed today that Evince 2.30.0 the pdf reader that come with Ubuntu 10.04 has trouble opening certain encrypted pdfs.

It opens the ones I created with pdftk but not the ones created by my bank.

It acts like I entered the wrong password

I have another machine still running Envice 2.26.1 on Ubuntu 9.04 and the same file will open fine on that machine.

I could view the file with ghostscript specifying the password on the command-line on my Ubuntu 10.04 machine.

So the issue seems limited to certain encrypted pdfs and Evince 2.30.0.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have tried it with gv, the front end for ghostscript, and xpdf and both work fine. I am not using kde so I havn't tried okular.
