Question Debian & Gnome....

Hi all,i landed here after lots of googleing and brainstorming about this issue,i'm a debian user since 3 years,so i love debian love dpkg and its universal compatibility and so on,but i must have gnome 2.26,i used gnome 2.22 for a long time and it is good but after i tried the last version i though:why can't i have the 2.26?but is so difficult, the testing version of debian is still shipped with 2.22 and i can't see any way to solve it,i tried to switch distro, tried ubuntu(?),tried fluxbox(powerful),but all the new software releases doesn't like my graphic card, that worked great with xorg-xserver 1.6 so yesterday i installed debian testing again, the base sistem, next the X.org and then switched to ubuntu jaunty repos...funny tring but is real crazyness due to the dependency...my question is:is there anyone in the world that have made the .debs of gnome 2.26,a little repo could be enough..thanks for all suggestions and helps...

Status of GNOME 2.26 in Debian
http://www.0d.be/debian/debian-gnome-2.26-status.html

Parts of 2.26 are in Sid the rest will probably be there soon.

Why is it so important to have 2.26?

I would just download the tools you need to build it from the Gnome project site.

yes i know gnome 2.26 will be in experimental for long time, but i think 2.26 is actually an enough stable release and i like it,and it uses the lastest version of the gtk libraries and have some features i like, just that, and bcause is all opensource i hoped there is a way to have the last gnome also in a debian machine, but i know the "way to think" of debian release team, great, they wait for a really stable system and this is good,but....however i found http://jhdebuild.0d.be/ this website where there are debs package of gnome till 2.24 i'll let you know, otherwise i can compile it trough garnome or manually but is like building a pyramid for me..i'll let you know!
