An error in installing linux


Hi

I had got an error in installing SUSE 10.0

the Error is:

hdc:dma timeout error:status=0x58{Drive Ready Seek Complete
Data Request}
ide:failed opcode was:unknown
hdc:dma_timer_expiry:dma status==0x21
hdc=DMA timeout error
hdc=dma timeout error:status=0x58{Drive Ready Seek Complete
Data Request}
ide:failed opcode was:unknown


the pc that I had installed in it is (PCM 3350)




Please help me thanks

Does the system start anyway or did it hang somewhere? If it starts, have a look at
Code:
hdparm -i /dev/hdc
to see if an Ultra DMA mode is enabled (maybe udma2 for the PCM3350 system). Anyway - as AceofSpades19 pointed out - some other hardware specification would be helpful, especially about the IDE drives mounted on the system.
