I installed MandrakeLinux 9.2 on my computer. It worked fine but when i boot up Linux it loads until it gets to Boot or Load (i forgot which it says) pcmcia. then it just stops, i let it stay there for about 7 hours and it didnt move. So does anyone have any advice or know what to do. thanks in advanced.

im on a laptop, i tried reinstalling it without 3D acceleration but it is still doing the same thing. IS there neway to turn off pcmcia even though im on a laptop?
how do i turn it off, its no big deal if i have to reinstall it. Actually i dont even know what pcmcia is so if you could tell me what it is i could tell you if im going to use it.
hmmmm...It's a kernel module option and when you rebuild the kernel you can turn that off....I'm not sure if they give you that option when drake is initially installed though...I don't quite remember...
i reinstalled it and i didnt see any options to turn it off, it just goes into a screen that says its setting up PCMCIA and it doesnt let you do anything to stop it. So anyother ideas you guys
