SElinux during RHCT Exam

Hi All,

I took the RHCT class and will be sitting for an exam this Friday (RH131) and was wondering since SElinux makes everything a bit harder, can I disable it and if so will I loose any points cause of this?

Thanks

It's not our place to discuss this. Although it is not a specific question, it is part of the contents of the exam. Just note that in order to pass you need to achieve the tasks as defined in the paper. The automated tests which mark the system are written to test whether the requested task has been achieved, nothing more, nothing less. If somethign is not mentioned, it will not be tested for etc.

tsh3po - Hey that's actually a pretty good idea - if it works... But I'm thinking that it's probably unlikely that the folks at Red Hat would create a practical that doesn't in some way require SELinux to be running in enforcing mode.

As above, you just need to complete the task as stated. There are no possible 'tricks' our anything. If you do what's asked, you will get the makes, no matter how you manage it. So I'd say that it is not a 'good idea' at all, it's either an obvious thing to do, our you need to keep it. Let me ask this... How would redhat explicitly test if it it's enabled or not? Their test scripts eject the behaviour as detailed I'm the exam, and nothing more.
