Exclamation Lindows Fubar'd My Computer

Hi there,

I recently installed Lindows onto my FAT32 empty partition (D:) and then after evaluating I wanted to remove it so I went into the XP recovery console and found that my windows was now on D: (was on C: prior to Lindows install).

I then ran fixmbr and fixboot hoping I could boot into XP but now I can not as it can not find my XP on C:.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with Lindows changing itself to the primary partition and then messing up their computer setup?

RGDS & TIA

Curtis M.

I had all sorts of problems when I used LindowsOS. I suggest you try Mandrake Linux if you want an easy to use distro.

I had this (or a similar problem) happen when I installed GRUB on my primary MBR.

To fix it I did both FIXMBR *and* FIXBOOT and it came up. (BIG WHEW!)
