XP can't find the cd-rom anymore

Hi.

After installing Libranet 2.8.1. on a partition of my Windows pc, my dvd-reader and cdwriter dissapeared in Windows XP. Help!

I first partitioned my HD to have 3 partitions. (Two extended NTFS ones).

Then installed Libranet 2.8.1. on the third one, making my
Windows hda1, windows data hda5, Libranet on hda6 and a swap partition, right? Set up the dual-boot option, and everything worked like a charm, at least it does under Linux, cause now Windows can't find my dvd and writer in Windows anymore.

Anyone have an idea how to fix this? Everything worked fine before I installed Libranet.

This is my first confrontation with Linux, so please act as if I you are explaining this to your grandmother.
(no need to shout into my ear though

I really don't think this has to do with Libranet's installation... something went mad under XP . Well, can you still use those devices (DVD and CDRW) under libranet?. If you can, then they are working. All I can suggest is to open your computer, unplug both CDRW and DVD-rom, start windows XP, turn your computer off, plug the devices again, and start Windows XP. Windows XP should detect those new Devices. I've the same problem you're having once with my sound card and it worked again
