Question Xfce Problem

I experience problems when i try to start Xfce by a another user than root. I'm using Red Hat 7.2. and Xfce 3.8.14.

it says that it cant find the file /usr/X11/xfce/xinitrc in PATH. and i have the /usr/X11R6/bin directory in the PATH.

Wrong forum but:

if it states that you need /usr/X11/xfce/xinitrc in the path, /usr/X11R6/bin .... never seen that path before.

Check out the README and INSTALL files for XFce as they have really good documentation. By default when you compiled it should have put the correct paths for every user. Must have not compiled correctly. Search the forums here as we have many discussions on XFce and getting it to work.

strange error. I run xfce, and I don't have a /usr/X11/xfce/ directory either ( I'm using 3.8.14 )

Do you have a .xinitrc file in your homedirectory?

I have a ".xinitrc" file in my homedirectory with the line "xfwm" in it to start the xfce window manger when X is started. I also had to create a directory in my homedirectory called ".xfce".
