Hi!

After I finished upgrading my Laptop to Slackware 10.2, I noticed something
funny/anoying :

If the title of a window (for example: "LinuxQuestions.org - where Linux users come for help") is too long, the entry in the taskbar is not truncated (like in the previous xfce 4.2 releases, that I tried). The whole string is written out even if it doesn't fit into the taskbar.

(If needed, I can provide a screenshot)

The problem occurs with all applications, especially with mozilla firefox and thunderbird (due to the long window titles).

Is there any chance to set a limit for the length of the string (wasn't able to find
one in the config files for the taskbar)?

It's an issue with gtk+ 2.8:

Downgrade your Gtk or upgrade to XFCE cvs (or compil from source with the new Gtk).
