Is there an application like wubi that would install a non-ubuntu linux distribution the way wubi installs ubuntu ?
Basically I want to install a linux distro (any distro, except ubuntu) without creating any partitions or overwriting my MBR.
I would use wubi, but ubuntu is just wayy too buggy.
AFAIK Ubuntu is the only distro that has the WUBI-installer. If you want to install a distro without making partitions you may want to try to install into a virtual machine, like Virtualbox.
Also why isn't this more popular? Its fantastic. Takes 10 seconds(yes 10 seconds!) to install a super fast awesome distribution of linux without knowing anything about linux , without learning anything, without creating any partitions, without messing with the MBR and nuking all your partitions. Its awesome.

It isn't more popular because when Windows dies, you lose Linux too. Also when you reinstall Windows, Linux disappears too, with a traditional setup you can reinstall Windows, then reinstall your favorite boot loader (because the Windows install will always wipe your boot loader) and Linux is untouched.
I remember a long, long time ago when I tried this kind of thing, I think it was called Lin4Win and came with Mandrake 6.5, I made a total mess of Windows and never got Linux to start once. Installed it the traditional way and it was perfectly happy along side Windows 98.
