Sorry, I really think France have excellant chances this year -

Santini has lined up a great squad and with players like Zidane, Henry, Vieira etc they are a strong side, shown excellant form this year (they didn't lose a single match no?)

But no they aren't my favourite side - I'm English so I'm backing our team! :)

It's Sven's new training tactic. Chas the players with ninjas and lasers and give them gold if they win. Alex Ferguson uses it for Manchester United training sessions.*

Warning: the above may not actually be true

But Arsene Wenger just says "Hey Don't lose!", and look what happens?

Regular season matches anyway.

Would like England to win of course - just done Iceland 6-1 today - nice - however, France are probably favourites - always good to see the mecurial genius Zidane playing - England 'll come to a stand-still if we reach the Semi's - getting that far would be brilliant - good luck lads.... and lets hope our fans don't start a riot in a foreign city as usual.

Yay! Wasn't that a great match, maybe the critics will get of Rooney's back, he just played great :)! (As did the whole team!) Especially his second goal, pure brilliance...

Hmm, it'd be a real shame if they did, something English football has a name for really :(

Ha .... I know who is going to win (well actually I don't but a little chauvinism never hurts any one). Orange (that is Holland) all the way dudes. Just like last time at the world championships we will ..... oh wait we didn't even get in that tournament. Okay we will kick butt just like in the last European championships. [my conscious] But we didn't kick butt back then. Oh well details details... [/ my conscious]
. So you see, with our record we are bound to win.

Just for the record, the last time Holland won any thing was in European championships of 1984, if I remember correctly.

Yes, it's of paritcular concern this time round due to the threat of us being kicked out of the tournament if our fans are violent - really would be awful if that happened

Congrats Covel - Portugal have improved throughout the tournament and are worthy finalists - must be one hell of an atmosphere on the Algarve tonight after the Holland game
