Nickelback - Song on fire
Impossible describing love? Maybe. But it does not mean people do not know what trueunfakedfeelings are when they love someone. Regardless good inspiration song. Also it does not mean they lied about their love related topics - either none believed OR they temporarely pretended to act differently to avoid problems from those who like to abuse truth'ers.. :P
The third episode of Hippie Hippie Shake on France Culture. I have missed this one two days ago, but episode 5 was frustrating.
Here is the playlist of this broadcast:
The Doors - Break on Through (To the Other Side)
Eddie Cochrane - Summertime Blues
Amiri Baraka - It’s Nation Time
Joan Baez - We Shall Overcome (Live)
Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues
Claude Channes - Mao Mao
Country Joe et The Fish - I Feel Like I’m Fixin to die Rag (Live at Woodstock)
Gary Byrd - Are you Really Ready for Black Power ?
Mother Earth - Revolution
NATO - Je t’apprendrai à faire l’amour
Bob Harrison - Why Don’t you do Right ?
Canned Heat - Going up the Country
The Rolling Stones - Street Fighting Man
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - If 6 was 9
Santana - Soul Sacrifice (Live at Woodstock)
Unfortunately, this time it is only the well-known, archetypal songs that represent the rock&revolution theme. For Country Joe and the Fish, at least, other titles would have fit in even better. Nothing against Joan Baez, but: Same problem. And “Going up the Country?”. Back to episode 1. Darn. My CDs are failing one by one.
Just to prove lyrics are often secondary to great music, here for your enjoyment is a really good redo of --- Blue Oyster Cult's Biggest Hit --- although admittedly not everyone thinks the lyrics silly. Some were actually horrified LOL.
