Perusing the slackware forum and removing text strings while listening to Pandora which oddly enough started playing a song from a band called Slackstring........... Where'd I put that tin hat?
Just installed Slack 13. Time for tweaking and installing...
Haha, just installed Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 again. Time to shake things up! (Especially the 'Human' theme...)
I had installed Arch, but was getting really mad at how bad gnome gets implemented there. It takes me forever to get things just right, and yet I still fail at something here or there.
Next weekend, I am going to persevere and install Arch again (dual-boot probably); but this time I am going to try something I have never tried before -- e17, *box, or LXDE -- as my DE/WM.
Trying to decide if it's going to rain tomorrow so I know if I have time to start on the BLFS book or not.
If you're in a position to decide about weather conditions, can you please make it warmer in London tomorrow. I have a very annoying cold, but unfortunately can't call in sick
A shocking realization that JFS is slower than ext4, and even though it's almost impossible to corrupt a JFS system (I've tried lol...), it's just to slow. XFS is decent, but it's fsck is terrible and it never recovers data. ReiserFS is really fast, and I will most likely try next weekend; although the fact that the *real* FS is dead is a bit concerning.
Don't ask me why I like messing with FS's. I just do. I actually do care for that 0.000000000001 sec. performance boost. Especially on this slow netbook
