This company is selling Open source software as...

I was cruising around the blender website and saw this article: http://www.blender.org/modules.php?o...rder=0&thold=0
Then I goto the Luxuriousity website, http://www.luxuriousity.com/
and enlarge some of the pics and they are clearly selling the gimp and other open source software as their own software, this is bull****.

What a fraud!

You can even see the word "GIMP" clearly in their screenshot!

Clearly "spam" is the first word that comes to my mind when I see their website. It's like a collection of HTML e-mail messages I receive in my "spam" folder grouped together as a website!

They call it "General Image Manipulation Program". Created way back in 1966??!!?! By disgruntled Photoshop users in 1966? Very sad...

Rubbish...

And they're selling OpenOffice.org under their own name as well! The cheek of it "Luxuriosity Office Professional" my foot...

Somebody should close their site down. Not only are they violating GPL, but they're also misleading innocent people with false information.

I dont think its illegal to sell it, but to sell it under their name is clearly fraudulent and dishonest but the name of the company and the person that receives payment is in the contact info and at the bottom of the pages it says 100% money back, if not satified. This is so funny bacause its so blatant. .

Yes. I cannot make out if it is an elaborate fraud or a misguided person who doesn't understand that "Free Software" is not "Public Domain".

And the site looks very unprofessional because they use bold, all caps and multiple colours... very reminiscent of the spam I receive in my mailbox.

And don't forget to look at the article where BajaNick found it in the first place -- in the Blender website. So they know too!

They have essentially taken all of the software on the OpenCD and selling
it. They have OOo, Gimp, Audacity, lots of stuff...

All of which is free on the OpenCD anyway...

I wonder if they sell ice in the arctic as well?

http://images.auctionworks.com/hi/57...imp02large.jpg -- thats what one of the screenshots points to, they should have at least changed the name of the image lol.

Theres even a little GIMP icon poking through from the desktop
