How about the Brita Water Filter ads? They're all pretty stupid. And the sanitary devices which are so compact, they're mistaken for sweets by the visiting boyfriend? That's pretty stupid. The LloydsTSB 'No, we really are a touchy-feely caring bank look at these lovely black horses prancing in the street' dumb advert. And don't get me started on the 'Who gives you extra' bold brummy (replaced by a computer generated image) ads. Stoopid.
what gets me here is the way the satellite channels all have so many ads for loan companies - they sure expect their customers to be the over-extended middle class
That, and the 'make plans for the funeral' ads. Not just over-extended mc - the 'about to meet their maker' mc too - these ads especially visible during animal hospital progs and the like!!
and yes, they're loud....but not as loud as the whole of the QVC shopping channel which is sometimes louder than its *own* adverts
Originally posted by joesbox i think that the funniest commercial is the one for viagra where the guy is walking thru the office with a great big smile on his face and everyone keeps asking weather he got a raise or lost weight or a whole slew of complimentary things of why he was so happy. all i keep thinking is "the reason he is so happy is cause he has a woody the size of texas in his pants and his wife isn't getting enough" rotflmao!
He did get a raise. hehe

I agree with you, I HATE commercials for PRESCRIPTION drugs...even worse when they don't say what its for (No no, you don't need to know...run along like a good automaton and beg your doctor for it!! You'll see!!!)
I agree with that, the companies should atleast tell us what the product does. They could say "Do you want to look like a ass infront of your docter?"" cause if you ask your docter about the medicine, theres a great chance you won't need it.
