stupid stupid newb ? what to use instead of xconfigurator

I am trying to get to a configuration utility from the command line..

i can't remember what it is called... i need to reload my mouse driver.. trying to install the no touch driver.. but it tells me that /dev/ps2 can't be accessed.. even booting into run level 3 without x running.. it says there can be no mouse driver loaded when you try to run it.. i am a little lost..

as it sits now i have no mouse driver loaded at all and need to get back into x, even if it's with the default driver.

thanks for the help.

will redhat-configure-xfree86 or whatever not load a console version outside of X?

/dev/ps2 isn't a normal entry... usually /dev/psaux

Try redhat-config-mouse this should help you reconfigure your mouse

HTH

PS. defaults to text mode if X isn't running
