Nah, come on now Sal' Ubuntu and Rolls Royce ??????
To my knowledge, that's an impossible analogy, because there's no distro, not even an enterprise version that will do absolutely everything for you, with leather seats, a walnut dashboard, only run on blades or main frames and use absolutely ALL your resources ???????
Ubuntu is closer to something that's "driven in Cuba" i.e. Debian based, so it's basically been in existence in one for or another for a long time - took forever to get anywhere, so it's been modified, repaired, etc etc with Lada engine.......
Ok, maybe that's unfair, so I'll go for Ubuntu being one of those Filipino "Jeepneys" i.e. Old reliable, hardworking (the debian underwear) and then been all "prettied up/decorated" and extended to carry lots of people for not a lot of money - the Ubuntu bit
