STEVENS POINT, Wis. (CBS/AP) A Wisconsin woman's apparent accuracy with a blow gun put her in the sights of police in downtown Stevens Point.
Police arrested 41-year-old Paula Wolf for allegedly hitting four people with darts shot from a minivan Wednesday, April 21.
Police got a call from a 25-year-old woman who said she was walking downtown minding her business when all of a sudden she felt something hit her in the chest.
Within a half-hour three other victims came forward to report the same thing happened to them, says The Stevens Point Journal.
Apparently, the sharpshooter wasn't too discreet because one of the victims told police she saw the dart being shot from a pipe, sticking out the window of a black minivan.
With the description of the vehicle, it didn't take long for police to apprehend the dart-blowing suspect and her blow gun; however, police say they found more weapons in her arsenal, including a slingshot and a bucket of rocks.
They also say Paula Wolf admitted shooting the pedestrians. Why, you may ask? She allegedly told an officer that she "liked to hear people say ouch."
She's charged with recklessly endangering people's safety.
Dude just imagine you're walking down the street and then you get shot in the chest with one of those 3" long needles.
I mean, I doubt it'd do much damage physically, but still.. I don't think it'd be awesome to just get shot in the chest with a dart by some fat bitch with a lame sense of humor.
Nevertheless, though, that type of behavior is actually pretty common, though generally not expressed in that way.
sound to me like a good argument for open carry of a handgun. Wanna bet she wouldn't dare shoot someone if that someone quite obviously would be able to return fire?
Some body armor will help, although it is bulky and awkward to be walking around town with it ... you now have a reason to. What if she hit someone in the eye ? Need some goggles too.
Where would you shoot? She used a blowgun, so there's be no report or visual clue as to where this hair thin dart came from.
At least one victim saw the blowgun and gave description to police. It said so in the article. The darts are also somewhat thicker than "hair thin" I would think.
Myself, if I saw it and realized I had been shot...particularly when I have absolutely no way of knowing what I had just been shot with (poison? disease?)...I would return fire immediately.

So unless everyone is armed, you would have to hope that someone was in the very near vicinity and is a good enough shot in a real life situation to not kill the wrong person or to have the round go through her and kill someone else.

Rather than get medical help? Revenge being preferable to saving your own life?
