Well I didn't put a smiley there just to see if you can understand that this joke is not intended to be sarcastic simply because I have no reasons to be sarcastic with you! In fact I expected you to write something witty back! Okay, this is a lesson for me and I'll be formal with you from now on.

There might be an Oldham in the US. If there is, let's hope it's better than this one.

I did not understand that it was a joke. The obvious meaning was sarcastic but I did not think you would be sarcastic; hence my asking what you did mean. If I had understood what it meant, I might well have replied wittily

Formal is boring

Namaste

I have already accepted that it was my fault. I need to remember that all people are not like Briany. I shall be careful next time and secondly, putting a joke in joke tags is not funny at all.

You always find a way to make things funny.
American comedy needs you. Nobody is funny over here anymore.

I think it's a characteristic of most people in the North West of England. We must have a genetic predisposition to be funny. We find humour in situations and circumstances where other people don't.

I don't get it. What does that really have to do with determinism?

Not really...it's just that I do still get a little edgy when people start talking like that. I know it's kinda pathetic.

Trust me, you don't really want to know.

That Australian also said the same thing regarding Australia and when I cracked a joke without similes, he got a bit annoyed??? but now I realize it is the "TYPE" of sense humor that makes the difference.

In a way you are correct, the diversity of members is what makes LQ interesting!
