A friend contacted me on the phone the other day -- they want to transfer files from one PC to another through a direct firewire connection. I have never done this, and so did not know how to walk them through it.

They are connecting WinXP-WinXP. The computer recognizes it has a firewire connection. What do you need to do to transfer files? Based on what they were describing to me, it was not evident how to browse the files on one system from another, or to drop the files from one system into a directory on another. Anyone done this before?
