PAL vs NTSC

Nothing technical here, just a simple question ....

For games like Soul Calibur, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Guilty Gear X, ... on a PS2, is PAL slooooowww ( as in unplayable, frustrating, dissapointing, ... ), or is it just a bit slower than NTSC in a way that I wouldn't notice unless I play the NTSC version ?

The only difference is the refresh rate on the TV, everything else runs at the same speed, and I doubt you'd notice a difference...

if youve never played the NTSC version then you'll not find anything wrong with the PAL version, but i have both the NTSC and PAL tekken 3 and you can really tell the difference. let me warn you though, some later models of the PAL ps2(even fully chipped) have difficulty playing NTSC ps1 games, they cut about 1/5th of the screen off. this is incredibly annoying as konami see it in their infinite wisdom that people in the uk wont be interested in their games and thus they only release NTSC versions. grrr
