Need help in configuring htaccess for windows.

Hello guys,
You people might wonder that I am talking about Windows here, but I have some problem in configuring .htaccess file with WAMP server. I have always got solutions to my problems every time I have made a post here. So looking for it again.

I want to add htaccess code in my new website which is currently under development. I am looking for htaccess implementation in my site. But I am getting following error when I include .htaccess file in my Site Directory:

==================================================
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at localhost Port 3000
==================================================

My httpd.conf file contains following code related to htaccess:

==================================================
AllowOverride all
AccessFileName .htaccess
==================================================

My .htaccess file that I created contains following code:

==================================================
Options All

RewriteEngine On

RewriteRule ^/(.*)/ viewcategories.php?catname=$1 [NC]
==================================================

But when I save the .htaccess file in my website directory, I get Internal Server Error as mentioned above.

So, can anybody suggest me a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Not a Linux related question. This thread is more suitable in the General Forum and has been moved accordingly to help your thread/question get the exposure it deserves.
