Need a Lift? True Story

Hi all,

Today I read a wonderful true story. It hit me especially hard perhaps because I had originally read Lord of the Flies at age 13 and being what would later be referred to as something of a nerd, I was familiar with bullying though not nearly so much as friends smaller and less muscular than me, so the story seemed to "make sense". It turns out that bleak point of view came about because of what a desolate life was lead by it's alcoholic author, William Golding.

This story while only one story is at least a true story of what actually happened in one of the very few known cases that are similar - several shipwrecked schoolboys.

See the full, uplifting story here ---
