I picked up a copy of Linux World Magazine today, and thought it was pretty good. Although, it wasn't worth the $7 to me because I am really just a Linux home user, ya know, email, surfing, gaming, some web server and game server hosting, and that's about it. Linux World Mag focused on Enterprise and IT management stuff. Wanted to know if there are any Linux mags out there I could suscribe to, that offers some good articles on programs, hardware, games, etc..Even possibly demo discs?
I subscribe to Linux-Magazine myself. I've checked out a few and I just like their articles and layout best overall. And of course you do get to read Jeremy's column each month now too..
I had a subscription to Linux Journal for a bit. Although it was a good read, it seemed to me to be focused mainly on the IT side...pretty heavy reading. This isn't a bad thing, but I was hoping, particularly since I was just beginning with Linux, for a more home-user thing.
You could have a look around for linuxformat Uk based, I know, but it seems that it's available in some of the "more discerning" US bookstores type shops.
And it'd maybe work out a little more expensive, but as far as I can tell, I've never seen anyone moaning about it, or rather, I've seen a number of "cor, what an excellent mag" comments - maybe, just "blowing their trumpet" ??
Linuxhotbox - your advertising/soliciting thread has been closed. Have a read of the reasons why. It's not a good idea to continue advertising your magazine on this site.
