I don't get these scams, either by phone or personal email...


See quite few at work. Most of these are from supposed companies offering refinancing deals... or badly written mails supposedly from foreign companies who are "very interested" in our products.

Recently a mail with an executable payload got through and two employees click clicked...

The IT man ran some "deep scans" and told me what had transpired. I told him that both boxes should already be off the network being wiped and re-imaged... I suggested that he was putting faith in the tools which had already failed to stop this. He had a rethink and immediately did that.
