How to rewrite someting in Octal values?


#chmod -R g+w mydir

What if I want to rewrite it using octal values? Please replace 'xxxx' with correct octal value?

What R options stands for here?
#chmod -R xxxx mydir
***R options stands for Recursive or change files and directories recursively, is it???
