hahh i am by no means a french speaker but i know what that means and that is pretty funny that it does say that ;-)

I'm bilingual and that's pretty funny

Goes right up there with that webpage I haven't been able to find again...silly Unix tricks or something

I checked up what man -k was, you know, and turns out, in the man pages the -k switch is described by a french word.

vexer@TheKeep:~$ man man
[...]
-k Equivalent to apropos.
[...]

Well, it all started out with me being frustrated and learning of the help command, and when nothing good happened I just let out a string of swears after help and it told me to man -k tabarnac! and so I did.
