has anyone recieved free linux cds from this site.

i just want to confirm whether it is a real service or not.

i don't have any problems getting linux myself, but it's a great idea
for people who don't have access to fast internet.

how would these guys afford this, because shipping would be expensive.

also, does anyone know how much canonical pay for their free
shipping service

I don't know about that site but did you try www.osdisc.com

It seems to be quite popular and I *think* that is a legitimate site.

I don't know. They seem legit. What's the worst that could happen--they don't send you the CDs?
Canonical's a separate thing, though--that's specifically for Ubuntu, I think.

just go for Canonical's free CDs , but i heard(on the net though) it may takes quite sometime to reach you , depends on your location , order a few more if you are allowed to do that , give away to those who you think might be interested in linux ...
