View Poll Results: Who is your favorite singer or band?
I did not expect that I'd ever see them live, but it seems that it's going to happen. Bad Religion are playing in London in August. Not my favourite band, but I like to listen to them every now and then (obviously I'm talking about their old stuff)
It's a fine song, but it's hair music. More time was spent depleting the ozone layer for that video than writing the song I'd imagine. I generally listen to older music, but if you look around there is still some great music being made. It's not on the radio as much as the poll options, but great music frequently isn't the most popular.

True, unfortunately the 1980s was saturated with "hair", and most of the bands were just gimmicks, (Poison,Slaughter,Cinderella,Motley Crue), although for Motley Crue, I did like two songs from them, Dr. Feel Good and Kick Start My Heart was decent, but the rest was just forgettable.
Also some bands unfortunately couldn't get noticed UNLESS they adopted some kind of hair-metal look, see Guns N' Roses, but they did NOT sound like the poofy hair metal bands.
Then there is Skid Row, which for the most part I also didn't get into, but one song from them proved that they at least moved past the cheesy hair metal crap:
