How can I temporarily disable the ability to launch and install EXE files through Mozilla Firefox? (Windows XP)

AFAIK: executables are installed/launched through firefox via javascript. Should be the same in windows.

If you want to stop people from installing or running executables that they download using firefox (but firefox isn't automatically trying to run/install them) then I figure you can edit the download behavior to restrict files that end ".exe".
