Firefox installation as mozilla

hi, I use slack and I'd to install firefox as my mozilla is. I hv tried a lot but with no good solution, i just want that each new user that i add be able to use firefox with java and flash (my sister loves to play those disney games) working and with just one instalation folder. this is like mozilla, mozilla has just its own directory and every user can use all the features! plase e folde should I install... thanks.

Just one more question i hv a dane-elec pen (1gb) but the speed when I m transfering big files.. is very low... i use kernel 2.6.12.4 works fine but i hv this speed problem...

/usr/lib/(firefox directory)/plugins is where the java and flach plugins go. If it works the way you want in mozilla you probably could do this:
Code:
cp /usr/lib/mozilla-(version)/plugins/* /usr/lib/(firefox directory)/plugins

ok that i know (/usr/lib/fi*x/plugins) but that don t work as well. downloading themes and the flash stuff like playing flash didnt work as well. like my sister games on disney have some problens... some one knows how to set up the proxy on java? on windows i go to the panel control and change there (if i dont do that java doesn t works..), but on linux i hv no idea i need that to use my banc account. the copy part i didnt understand! why you will copy the mozilla plugins? i can t just ln -s java/plugi.... and install flash on that path?

What are you trying to do and what problems are you having exactly? You can link the java plugin and install flash to that directory, but copying the plugins from mozilla does the same thing and uses only one command. As for proxy, doesn't Firefox have proxy settings for itself? Java should not care about proxy itself.

well actually the flash plugin of mozilla is older and run very slowly, but i gues i m ok with the problem of the new one..
about the java i know tha firefox has his own settings but in my house all java applets fail. the problen is because the proxy is autenticated and here in my university the proxy isnt. i think it should work but it doesnt.. in windows happens the same thing but i can put ther my user and password on java settings at the control panel...
thanks and sorry for my english...

try to look for "firefox java panel" and similar in google. You never know what you may find.

This should work for the flash plugin but I do not believe that it works for the java plugin which needs to be a symbolic link.

code:

cp /usr/lib/mozilla-(version)/plugins/* /usr/lib/(firefox directory)/plugins

This site give good instructions and I think is available in other languages.

Why not just install the apps you need e.g. java, flash, realplayer, acrobat and then install flash and acrobat plugins to your firefox plugins directory using their installers and then create symlinks for realplayer and java? Simply copying plugins from one directory to another may not necessarily work.

reddazz actually has a point here. Install apps and point links. you can find all you need on linuxpackages.net

the part about the plugins is a kind of ok, the 2 problens is when i create a new accout firefox doents works very well, when I type ./firefox on /usr/lib/firefox (new user) it comes a lot of errors but firefox open.. and when i gonna play some flash game the keyboard dont start working imediatly, just when i click on the screen of the game. the second problem is my autenticated proxy, on windows it just work if i set up manualy (ip proxy, user and password), but I don't know how to do that on linux. i dont know if im helping but this is someway my real problem... Thanks!
