Cygwin problem loading X-windows
Hi guys,
I am trying to load X-windows using Cygwin.
This has worked previously but now not working.
What I normally do is open Cygwin, then type
cd ~Administrator
bash "servername".sh
This loads another window with a login prompt which when I login I get into X-Windows.
The problem I am having is I am now not getting the login prompt.
I believe it is gnome that it connects to.
I have checked that gdm is running and it is.
I reran the gdm command and tried again, still no login.
I also tried rebooting the server and still no luck.
I have tried running startx on the box and I get the error:
execve failed for /etc/X11/X (errno 2)
giving up.
xinit: No such file or directory (errno 2): unable to connect to X server
xinit: No such process (errno 3): Server error.
Can anybody help as to what I need to run on the server that will give me the login prompt?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
