Cool Theme..

Well, this isn't quite linux related...but I just had this theme for Windows XP emailed to me. I thought I'd share it. I guess it's an actual Microsoft Theme (i.e. - you don't need StyleXP or WindowBlinds, etc..) for Media Center Edition 2005 or something. Just run the .exe and it will extract the .msstyle file into it's correct location...

Royale Theme

Let me know what you think..

EDIT: Per good suggestion, I have added a screenshot =)

P.S. - no flameage(?) taken..

I think, and its just a personal opinion mind you,,,,,,

that your link would have been better off going to a screen shot of it rather than an .exe download.

I cant tell you what I think of a windows theme when Im running Linux, but I could if I could see it,

(If this comes accross harsh or cheeky, sorry its not meant to bee that way)

It looks just as crappy as the default one.

Thank god I don't have to look at things like that every day. *Hugs Linux*

Better than the originals, but still not great. Plus, you need to have the Windows XP multimedia edition, although I did find a download somewhere for home/professional, you needed ThemeXP or something though.

No.. you don't need media edition.. I'm running XP Professional... that's the point.. it was pulled from Media Center Edition.. So you don't need any 3rd party software like ThemeXP or StyleXP or WindowsBlinds, etc..

This theme works fine on both XP home and Pro

Just to backup what halo14 is saying,, it does install without MCE or any other apps..

And for the record I like it,
(but it could do with a thin taskbar option)

i agree with that... it would be better with the taskbar being a little smaller... but that's windows for ya.. big and bright... like kindergarten... heh..

and yes.. i know it doesn't look much different... just a little more crystalized... almost reminds me of... dare I say it?? KDE?
