When you feed a troll, guess what happens. More trolling.
The logic that porn is the primary reason people buy computers is completely laughable. The instance on it, basically with the attitude "it's true because I say so..." is trolling.
I'm just sayin'...
completely laughable?? i think you must be an idiot.
and dont call me a troll either. maybe i should accuse you of being a troll with offensive comments like that. if i think somethings correct then i will say so.
my belief isnt true 'because i say so', its something which i observed to be true at the time, and still stand by today. maybe YOU didnt buy a computer for the porn, but many, and i suspect the majority, did. if you dont have the insight to realise what the truth is, then thats your misfortune.
i firmly believe that porn was the major reason behind the boom in home computing sales in the mid 1990's and it was the middle aged man on the street that purchased and fuelled the boom, and most of them had no interest in spreadsheets, mp3's or gaming.
jim18, is this is a lesson on how to over-react? put me on ignore? it was you that was first offensive to me!
and just because your IQ is greater than someone elses doesnt mean you notice things that go on in the world, maybe your just a maths nerd.
and was my comment on the boom being fuelled by the availability of pornography really so completely laughable?
human beings are animals and as such alot of our behaviour is driven by sex. to claim my belief was 'completely laughable' was an idiotic thing to say.
Okay going back to a cleaner subject...
Yestarday they were all crowded round a small cmputer playing a mindless challenge free flash game (that's flash the technology, the graphics were terrible) they're all about thirteen or fourteen, any how I don't remember how the argument started but they're sure that Linux can't be a good thing because:
A) I (the only real nerd in the school) like it and
B) Bill gates is the second richest man alive.
Just for the record, I hate flash, as well as JVM. Anyways, that kind of statement on their part clearly shows their stupidity. If I were you, bring a laptop to school, loaded only with Linux, and put the fanciest effects on it. KDE or GNOME with COMPIZ, the works, and when they ask you 'oh, what kind of Windows is that?', then you can tell them that this is NOT Windows, and this is something that Windows could never do.
By the way, Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world, that title goes now to some guy in Mexico that owns the largest telecom corporations in Mexico, I can't remember his name, but google it, and make sure to pass THAT information along to them as well.
