Can i ask a Winblowz question in here?

I am trying to disable the Windows File Protection on my SGI 320 in 2000. It is updated with the most recent patches from windowsupdate, and I have been having problems while trying to follow the instructions on various webpages. If anyone knows of a fully updated howto's for this procedure, please let me know!! I desperaely want to change all the windows stuff, and make the desktop more appealing....please help if you can!

I've done it once or twice when I was messing with boot up screens and the IE twirly icon thing. I recomend backing up stuff before you do it...
