Either way, before I install an app, I look at the ratings and reviews of the apps.
Me too. Atleast I know if I would be wasting time and space if not worse.

I go by them as well but some times I wonder???
Open source and knowing what and where is installing is the best,
especially if I need to rip it out because it sucks. :D

P.s: counterfeit or cloned? :jawa:

Mac, Surface Pro? If you love proprietorially controlled dɹɐɔ you love both of them.

I use alternative cepellingcy (like winblow$ or crapple) not only to avoid adds on such and express my disgust but so people won't find them searching as well...

Those are noble reasons [Not that we need any excuses/reasons].

Plus, it's just so much more intursting, as opposed to dry, dull standard spelling.

Add a little color to our language- whether in our speech or in written form; make someone smile; add interest above and beyond the subject matter....and give people added incentive to read!

Personally, I'd MUCH rather hear someone say:

"I'll do yer wursh, as pre-deranged, as soon as I get off the terlit."

Than: "I will do your wash, as pre-arranged, as soon as I get off of the toilet".

(Maybe we could flush WinD'ohs down the terlit?!)

And for those who may wonder: Yes, I purposely dispronounce words in real-life, too!

So if someone searches "How to replace Windows with Linux" he won't find it if all would spell Windows in various ways?
Yeah, I can see how that helps Linux and open source software and how that expresses your disgust, well done.
Don't get me wrong, if it somehow makes you feel better to misspell Windows then do it, but please be so kind and restrict that kind of behavior to the threads in non-*NIX/General, it is anything but helpful in the technical threads.

jamison20000e 09-02-2014 10:48 PM

If I'm in a technical thread someone has already spilled proprietary correctly.

Exactly. The subject matter should be in the title; I doubt somebody is going to be searching individual posts for such a broad subject.

According to Forbes 2014, MS net worth is $78.5 billion dollars!

That is 785,000,000,000 dimes and counting :)
