Apps that support iPad and Linux?

Well one major problems I’m having is getting apps to work on iPad and Linux.

I tried every thing like android tablets and iPad as there is no Linux tablet well I hear purism is working on some good tablets and laptops but that not to come out to next year.

Major problem is cross app support.

Well libreoffice, GIMP, Audacity, VLC, Kdenlive, OpenShot so on are on Linux but not available for the iPad or android. And really good apps like goodnotes or notability are not for Linux.

I think Joplin and WPS office is for Linux as for the iPad but you need to set up your own server as there is no one drive or google drive.

Anyone here use iPad and Linux and if so what apps do you useful cross support.

Honestly, pretty much all browser-based apps. They offer a native client for iPad, and on Linux you just use them from a web browser.

You mentioned notetaking apps in your examples: I use SimpleNote, which actually has a native Linux client.

Well WPS office is supported on windows, Mac OS, Linux, android and iOS base on

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WPS_Office

And is free to use. Well some people may not want to use it because it is not open source and made in China by a developer there. With the government and the way things are may be some app tracking or telemetry.

Not sure but I think standard note app or Joplin is supported on Linux.

Not sure if anyone here uses these Apps.

There was post on reddit some thing about Apple removing or not allowing open source apps some thing to do with the terms of service or license. The way the Apple App Store is set up.

May be some one here may know more about that.

I use spreadsheets and word processing docs on both Linux and iPad (and Windows) via Dropbox with no problems. MS Office on Windows, LibreOffice on Linux and iOS native apps on the iPad.

Not the same apps, of course. Looking for the same app to run on both OS's is probably unrealistic.

Another angle is that you can build a Linux tablet.
