Is there anyone here who can take an icon image with a white back ground and make that background transparent so it will sort of fit in with the rest of my icons?
It's an icon image for LimeWire. There isn't one included in the LimeWire download so I copied the logo from the website and edited it leaving only the lime part of it. But it still has the white background.
So if anyone here knows how, and is feeling bored, let me know.
Open the image with The Gimp. Make a new image, and set the canvas as transparent. After you've done that, copy the image in, scale the image to the canvas (by using scale image).
Use the magic wand, click on the white background and hit ctfl-x.
Save it, there you go.
It's very easy.
Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day, get salmonella poisoning and die.
Teach him how to fish, and he'll eat for the rest of his life.
I figured it could be done with GIMP, but I didn't have the slightest clue as to how it's done. secesh already took care of it for me, but i'll remember what you said in case i ever need to do it again. thx!
My girlfriend is miles away, I don't get to see her every day .
So. . . being stuck at home, and not having a job (damn compulsory schooling).
I'm really bored.
If you'd ever like to have someone show you something, just I M me and I'll give you a VNC login, you can watch whatever.
