Possible to install FC2 with 2.4 kernel ?

Ok, i've read everywere about this dual booting bug doing the rounds, and
after Mandrake 10 messed up my partition table [although it at least warned that it is going to do so] i came to realise the problem can only be with the 2.6 Kernel. I currently have Fedora Core 1, which is the 2.4 kernel and it works fine.

Mandrake 10 have an option to install either the 2.4 or 2.6 kernel. In my case i can't install the 2.6 Kernel without it whining about my Partition Table being faulty, so i was forced to install with the 2.4 kernel (which has no problem with my partition table).

So now i assume FC 2 does not have this 'handy' feature and simply 'fix' your partition table without telling you [and thus makes your windows XP go bye]. So before i download FC 2, i was wondering if it has a similar feature as Mandrake 10's "alt1" to force a 2.4 kernel installation?

I don't think you can install with the 2.4 kernel. However, I think you shouldn't expect much problems. I also have a dual boot system and Fedora C2 didn't messed up WinXP, it still works. At least, that's just my experience with Fedora C2.

I don't know if it's important, but I chose to manually make the partitions with Disk Druid. I also left the GRUB bootloader as the default bootloader.
