FC4 in Intel Mother board D915GVWB No Sound Output

Fedora Core 4 installed on Intel Mother board with chipset D915GVWB. system recognised the sound card :
model: 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW(ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller
Module: snd-hda-intel

but when i tried to play test sound ( wav file ) no sound is audible. Hardware has been tested in windows environment and pclinux os environment, both the cased it was found working. pc linux os is also showing same hardware details and sound is coming. It is failing in Fedora core 4.

can you run 'alsaconf' in a terminal as root to unmute (with 'M') and turn up (with 'UP' arrow) all controls, use 'ESC' to quit the program and test.
