My SAS drives are not detected when installing Fedora 9. It's okay with Windows, but not with Fedora. I'm using LSI SAS Megaraid, anybody can help?

My server spec:

• Chipset Intel 5000v FSB 1333/1066/667Mhz
• LSI 1068E controller for 8 SAS/SATA ports w/host RAID 0.1.10
• Intel ESB2 for 6 SATA (3 Gbps) RAID 0,1,5,10
• 1 Universal: PCI-X 133MHz or 1 PCI-E x8, PCI-X 133/100MHz, 1 PCI
• Dual LAN w/Intel 82563EB Gigabit Ethernet Controller
• Xeon Quad Core 5405 2.0GHZ Cache 12MB BUS 1333 MHZ
• 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDRII Fully Buffered DIMM
• HDD 2 x 146GB SAS 15k Rpm

I finally decided to replace LSI RAID controller with Adaptec RAID controller and it solved this problem. The server vendor said that the controller is not yet supported by Fedora.

Could please tell me how did you manage to do this replacement?

How did you get the Adaptec controller?
Did you install it in the bios?
Did you have only SAS drives?

Please post your answers as detailed as possible!!

My server is Supermicro 6025B-3R/3 (see http://www.supermicro.com/). They have Adaptec RAID controller (Adaptec AIC-9410 Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS) Controller) on their previous series and it's compatible with common free distro like Fedora. So I called my server vendor here in my country and purchase Adaptec's. After replace the RAID controller, I set the RAID array from the controller BIOS. I'm using RAID 1, then reboot to Fedora installation DVD and follow the instructions. The installation ran seamlessly.

I don't have any other drives (SATA), only SAS, but it has the SATA slots actually.
