ttf fonts antialiasing is not working

Hi folks,
Running fc3/kde3.4.
The font antialisaing is not working. The fonts are always aliased. I've already selected antialiasing thru KDECC, xfs is also running. What could be the problem. It used to work fine previously on rh9. And oh, I'm using ms ttf fonts, verdana and tahoma.

Yes masand, they're on the path. This is driving me crazy, I find it difficult to browse the net without antialiasing.
Also in rh9 I could use qt-config and set antialising there, but qt-config is missing in this new KDE version. So I don't know how can I configure qt's behavior.
Plzzz, enlighten me.

ms sans-serif is ttf.
And do you know how to configure fonts for wx-gtk? or even gtk. Is there any frtontends for that? Like qt-config for qts.

hehe, no problem.
If I can only manage to configure wx-gtk to use antialiasing all would be OK.
