Troubles installing Fedora on a Windows 7 computer
I have a Windows 7 Pro computer with 1tb hard drive and i'm trying to install Fedora-KDE 23.
But I need to resize hard drive sda2 NTFS from 900gb down to 300gb, I'm using Gparted to resize the partition , but Gparted won't resize, I changed the 900gb to 300gb but it won't high light the resize button
I can run the Fedora-Live DVD with no problems, but just can't resize partition.

Hi...
You can do this using Windows 7, as well. Please see here.

The most likely explanation for that is that your windows partition is mounted. If you unmount it first it might work. I wouldn't use anything but windows Disk Management to do this due to past personal experience but it's your computer.
Using Gparted, and partition table below, couldn't you delete the Extended Partition and sda5 would move up as sda3 ?
I don't think you can delete an Extended partition while you have a logical partition existing within it. I expect you would have to first delete sda5, the Recovery partition which you probably should not do. Run GParted again and unmount sda5 and then resize sda3 to the left to include all the unallocated space after sda2.
I'd recommend leaving the extra space unallocated, and have fedora install to the unpartitioned space. The fedora installer will then create it's partitions, which by default will use lvm with the root and swap partitions being logical volumes in lvm.
In the GParted window, click on the Extended partition (/dev/sda3) to highlight it. Right-click and select the umount option. Click the Partition tab at the top and select Resize/Move. You will then get a new window with several options. You can either enter the sizes you want in the boxes or move your mouse up to the horizontal box at the top which has two small black arrows. Move the mouse to the left arrow and you should then see a small white arrow. Put the mouse arrow on it and slide to the left and watch the size in New Size box change.
The GParted Manual is at the link below. Scroll down to the Resziing a Partition option.
