Screen Resolution

Build: Fedora Core 5 latest Kernel x86_64
Video Card: Nvidia 6600GT
Monitor: Syncmaster 204T Samsung

Problem: I can get the display to 1600x1200, but I can't get the SCREEN Resolution to 1600x1200. Kinda annoying. I tried editing the x config file, but no luck. Anyone have any ideas how to manually set this?

I'm using the nvidia drivers that came with fedora core 5.

According to the xorg file,

(II) NV(0): Mode "1600x1200_85.00" is larger than BIOS programmed panel size of 1280 x 1024. Removing.

What would cause this?

My guess is, after looking up your syncmaster, is that your refresh rate is to high. Drop it back down to like 50 or 60 and see if it will work then.
